Strategic Command Deletes New Years Tweet With Nuclear Bomber

After receiving widespread criticism from liberal media outlets like CNN, the United States Strategic Command, also known as STRATCOM, deleted a tweet referencing the ball drop on Times Square and featuring a B-2 Stealth Bomber. The tweet read “Times Square tradition rings in the New Year by dropping the big ball… if ever needed, we are ready to drop something much, much bigger.”

Created in 1992 after the fall of the Soviet Union by President George H. W. Bush, STRATCOM is located at Offutt AFB in Nebraska from what had been known as the Strategic Air Command during the Cold War and controls the United States Nuclear Forces. It is one of 11 Combatant Command Structures now within the US Military. Within the last year President Trump has created two additional ones, Cyber Command in March and Space Command last month. No other President has created as many military commands in his first term.
