Helicopters from Belarus cross into Poland

Two Belarusian helicopters, possibly carrying Wagner forces, crossed into airspace of Poland at a very low altitude from Belarus. Polish defense ministry has informed NATO about the incident.

Belarusian Dictator Alexander Lukashinko has said that Wagner forces would like to “go all the way to Warsaw.” Lukashinko claims he asked Wagner forces, “Why do you want to go west?” So they say, “We control what happens: let’s go on an excursion to Warsaw (referring to the Polish capital) and Rzeszow (a key military hub for the Polish Military).” Lukashenko added: “I am keeping them in central Belarus, like we agreed. We are controlling what is happening. But they are in a bad mood.”

Officials from the Pentagon have responded to reports from the Polish Defense Ministry that helicopters from Belarus have violated the airspace of NATO member Poland, a development that could be perceived as a violation of Article 5 which states that an attack on one is an attack on all.
